An energetic talk about wifi, windmills and making a better world. Live from the Grote Markt in the metropolis of the North, Groningen, a sparkle of inspiration was lit: ‘The Netherlands are so much more than just tulips and windmills. Dutchies are some of the most innovative people on the planet. With some of the most groundbreaking innovations like WI-FI and Bluetooth! From people that make art in their attic, to bio-students to big investors, all these people can join forces that creative some of the most innovative concepts.’

What do all these innovators have in common? ‘They aim to make the world a better place. Bringing these bright minds together is our recipe for the future. That’s where Dutch Innovation comes in to play and acts as the ingredient that binds it all together. DID provides a stage for the radical innovative idea of a young student, as well as it provides a stage to an investor or business mogul that can blow life into that same idea. Dutch innovation is a methodology. A way of thinking and most importantly doing. Doing, failing and doing it over again and again!’ Peter went on to say that we as an innovative country, are bound by internal competition and tell the same story over and over, while there is gold to be found in the minds of these people. ‘Inspiration is another person’s  fuel to do something you yourself wouldn’t do’.
