How to become a Dutch Innovator

Last week our team had the honour to be part of MXT, the first ever tech-event at the renowned ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag) festival in Groningen. Facing a fantastic audience of professionals, creative talent and curious individuals, Dutch Innovation was invited to give the opening talk on “How to become a Dutch Innovator”.

Our host, Jitze Reeder, took the audience on a journey through the adventures of robot-nerd Edwin Dertien and the coded beats of composer, DJ and software developer Rick van Dijk. Based on these examples, our founder Peter Oosterwijk uncovered the unique qualities of Dutch innovation, including the blending of technology, science, and the arts to create a thriving environment for new ideas to emerge.

However, our visit was not just limited to the stage, as our founder was later a guest on the “Media, Marketing & Merken” podcast, where he had the opportunity to dive deeper into how Dutch Innovation is working for the entire Netherlands and its ecosystem of creativity and innovation.

The collision of Music, Technology, and the creative minds behind it gave us a a small taste of what DID23 will be like and motivated us to work even harder on what’s to come.
